INFLUENCE OF DIFFERENT CONCENTRATIONS OF MURASHIGE AND SKOOG MEDIUM ON MULTIPLE SHOOT REGENERATION OF Staurogyne repens (Nees) Kuntze

Tissue culture applications help mass production for many plant species, especially horticultural plants, ornamental medicinal and aromatic plants. Therefore, optimization of techniques is very important. In this study, the effects different Murashige Skoog (MS) salt levels (25%-200%) on in vitro Staurogyne repens (Nees) Kuntze were investigated. The shoot tip was used as explant. Different MS salts significantly affected regeneration abilities explants. highest rate determined at 100% 150% levels. maximum regenerated shoots (9.13 shoots/explant) nutrient media supplemented with salts. minimum count (5.22 recorded food including 200% Mean lengths between 1.65-2.27 cm. length value (2.27 cm) medium added, while lowest (1.65 containing 25% propagation rooted 0.25 mg/L indole-3-acetic acid (IAA).
